TSUGITE, a pencil design concept which allows you to use the pencils until the end without any wastes through a beautifully clever joining method.
'Have you ever used a pencil until the very last end?'
A huge amount of shortened pencils have been abandoning. Even some of well know solutions which is extending the pencil's top end with a empty pen stick is still not allowing you to use it until the very last bit of the pencils.
The idea was inspired from a master craftsmanship of the traditional Japanese wood joinery technique. 'TSUGITE' is a method to joint pieces of lumber without nails, but with their edges cut artistically. This technique was and is used to build temples, shrines and houses in Japan.
