The SOLHAVEN community introduces a new architectural model for integrated living and working, with an entire neighbourhood designed to operate without relying on energy from ancient organic matter. The design combines residential spaces, work areas, and wellness facilities within a walkable district that prioritises daily comfort and sustainability.
Neighbourhood Design and Public Spaces
The community is organised around a central village square, serving as the heart of daily life. It provides areas for gatherings, dining, and working close to home naturally and seamlessly. Adjacent wellness zones include plunge pools, infrared saunas, yoga lawns, and cold immersion areas to promote health and relaxation.
Homes and Architectural Flexibility
The neighbourhood features fully electric homes powered by rooftop solar energy and elevated above flood levels for safety. The homes are designed for adaptability: a study can become a home office, an extra room can turn into a creative studio, or layouts can accommodate multigenerational living. The design emphasises high-performance insulation, cross ventilation, and smart home technologies to ensure comfort and energy efficiency, with simple controls to reduce energy use when needed.
Sustainability and Green Spaces
Edible gardens on the ground and rooftops allow residents to harvest fresh produce, while native plantings and rooftop beehives support biodiversity and attract pollinators.
