The 2024 NY Product Design Awards commemorate innovations that improve everyday living via clever and useful designs, showcasing the extraordinary work of product designers, design teams, and manufacturers worldwide.
2024 Theme – BEYOND IDEAS
We recognize visionaries in the field of design who create goods that have meaning and the ability to change the world. The theme for this year is “Beyond Ideas,” which honors individuals that push the envelope of what is conceivable in product design by transforming creative ideas into real products.
Categories
Numerous categories, including Automotive & Transport, Conceptual, Digital, Electronic Devices & Accessories, Fashion & Lifestyle, Furniture, Home Interior, Interface & User Experience, Lighting, and many more, are included in the NY Product Design Awards.
Eligibility
Advertising agencies, art directors, brand/business owners, automobile designers, creative boutiques, design firms, designers, engineers, entrepreneurs, fashion designers, freelance professionals, furniture designers, graphic designers, in-house marketers, manufacturers, institutions, students, teachers, and anyone else who is 18 years of age or older and has created an exceptional product design are all eligible to enter the competition.
Submission Requirements
Before the final deadline, entries must have been completed during the previous five calendar years. Submissions must be made in its original, unaltered publication or implementation. You might need to provide documentation of your first production or publication date. Judges have the option to withhold awards and reclassify entries if they do not live up to their expectations.
Entry Brief
A synopsis need to be no more than 350 words. In this section, provide more detail about your work while emphasizing its originality, ingenuity, and main idea. Make sure the jury has a better understanding of your proposal thanks to the brief. Written translations or adaptations are required for entries that are not in English.
Image Submission
Submissions should be saved in a flattened JPEG or JPG format (under 4MB, preferably 1,200px wide, 300dpi, RGB).

- Early Bird: May 15 – Jun 20, 2024 ($199)
- Regular: Jun 21 – Jul 17, 2024 ($209)
- Final: Jul 18 – Aug 21, 2024 ($229)
- Final Extension: Aug 22 – Sep 18, 2024 ($239)
- Last Minute: Sep 19 – Oct 23, 2024 ($239)

- Product Design of the Year
- Product Designer of the Year
- Gold: Average score 85-100
- Silver: Average score 60-84
Judging
Judging is blind, with participant information removed to avoid prejudice. The jury is made up of seasoned individuals with a variety of backgrounds and specialties, including educators, marketers, product designers, creative directors, educators, and manufacturers.
Evaluation Criteria
Entries are scored on a scale of 1-100 based on:
- Form
- Creativity & Innovation
- Finishing & Functionality
- Impact
All decisions by the NY Product Design Awards and International Awards Associate Inc (IAA) are final and binding.
Prizes
- Product Design/Designer of the Year: Complimentary limited-edition trophy and professionally designed certificate.
- Gold and Silver Winners: Professionally designed certificate, feature on the NY Product Design Awards Gallery, a press release template, and logos for use on websites and email signatures. Additional Ava statuettes and customized certificates may be purchased. Gold and Silver winners will also be featured on social media and Muse.World’s website.
