Black by Ian Redcay is a great data encryption desktop hardware solution that gives you the power to protect data.

Black is an unusual hardware design solution for securing user data and reflecting the need for anonymity on the web.
“With increased worries about privacy, the use of VPNs has become a global trend for Internet access,” adds Redcay.

In fact, this concept product’s purpose is to be an accessible consumer solution for one to engage freely online without the worry of ad targeting, unwanted data collection, or foreign interference using smart technology and a translucent housing with a reserved enclosure.

Moreover, its inspiration is from a traditional and contemporary look. It combines a guarded outer silhouette with an exposed inside structure to communicate its purpose and protect users’ personal information.
Data encryption occurs within the gadget through a winding array of circuits and internal components, and the eclectic object’s interior circuit board gives visual context.
We seamlessly positioned many functional features above and beneath the PCB, allowing cold air to passively cool components over time.

Black perfectly represents what it provides users – obscurity – by being silent in function and modest in design.
Its translucent shell and exposed PCB serve as strong focal points as well as functional design components.

Additionally, the acrylic pane diffuses light from inside LEDs to see the state of the gadget from all angles.
“This permits Black to communicate critical information in congested workstations when it is hidden among other competing objects,” Redcay explains.
Its branding is minimal at best, with a modest monogram that integrates the device’s brand identification and function through a uniform visual language.
