Mohamed Salah wins the Premier League with Liverpool

Egyptian Mohamed Salah contributed to Liverpool’s Premier League title triumph, following a crushing 5-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday in Round 34, extending the gap over second-place Arsenal to 15 points.

Weeks ago, Liverpool succeeded in renewing the contract of Mohamed Salah, who was highly sought after in many countries, including Saudi Arabia. The contract will keep the Egyptian player with the team until the summer of 2027, with a weekly salary of up to £400,000.

A luxurious mansion on Merseyside

The British newspaper “Daily Mail” published a report on Mohamed Salah’s house in Merseyside and its role in the Egyptian star’s continued presence at Liverpool.

Mohamed Salah says his small family feels Liverpool is their “home,” as he lives in a luxurious mansion with his childhood sweetheart and his two children.

Mohamed Salah fulfilled the dreams of millions of Liverpool fans around the world when the club announced his contract extension. The Egyptian star has been breaking records since joining Liverpool for a then-record £39 million from Italian club Roma in 2017.

His first contract at Anfield saw him earn £90,000 per week. He is now set to earn around £400,000 every seven days, or nearly £25 million annually.

Nearly eight years after joining, Liverpool has become a second home for Salah, who has been dubbed the “Egyptian King” of Merseyside by his ardent fans.

Alongside him is his wife, Maggie, whom he has known since childhood and married in 2013, and their two daughters, Mecca (10) and Kayan (5). Their overwhelming happiness in Liverpool is one of the main reasons Salah extended his historic stay.

Mohamed Salah’s House Specifications

Salah owns a beautiful home in Liverpool, with a spacious backyard to play in, and his home life is geared toward maintaining his fitness.

Salah’s home, which is located in the same neighborhood as Manchester City star Erling Haaland, is equipped with two gyms, as well as cryotherapy facilities and a hyperbaric chamber.

In general terms, cryotherapy involves using ice-powered machines to reduce swelling by constricting blood vessels, while the hyperbaric chamber contains air pressure levels three times higher than normal conditions to help the lungs distribute more oxygen throughout the body.

A Home Like a Hospital

Salah says, “It’s true that I like to say my house looks like a hospital, but my wife doesn’t like it. She says I spend more time on my gym machines than she does with me!”

Earlier this year, he shared a video of his daughter, Kian, working out with him, before kissing him on the cheek.

Perhaps it’s no surprise, then, that Salah seems to be improving physically. Liverpool’s owners, Fenway Sports Group, typically don’t renew contracts for players over 30 for fear of a decline in their fitness. With Salah, that risk remains, but he has skillfully mitigated it.

He’s 32, but in pre-season, he outperformed his Liverpool teammates in manager Arne Slott’s fitness test. Gary Neville described him as a “brick wall” in February.

As a Muslim, Salah has never consumed alcohol. He is believed to change his routine during Ramadan to exercise at 2 a.m. Heavy foods are rare.

In 2020, he gave people a glimpse of his home in a Vodafone advertisement, where he joked around his spacious back garden with his eldest daughter, Makkah.

In another scene, the Egyptian is seen relaxing in a luxurious living room with a sleek, modern design… a large cat statue in front of the fireplace. A picture of Makkah in her school uniform occupies a prominent place on the table.

Salah plays for a major club in European competitions every season, making his schedule grueling. Yet, he still finds time for two of his favorite hobbies: chess and yoga.

The Liverpool star has previously stated that he is “addicted” to chess and plays it daily.

With two more years left on his contract, it would be foolish not to bet on him breaking more records.
