A National Urban Policy for Australia

Humankind is rapidly becoming an urban species, with projected growth of city dwellers quadrupling from 2.3 billion to 9.3 billion between 1980 and 2080. Despite this growth, governments are slow to respond with urban policies that reflect changing demographics.

UK-based sustainable urban leadership and urban transition expert Professor Greg Clark will deliver this free lecture at the University of Melbourne’s Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning.

After the pandemic cities need to be reinvented. Can the federal government help? What does Australia need now and how can it be created? Explore these questions ahead of the next federal budget.
