Airbnb has unveiled a life-size rental version of a Polly Pocket compact toy as part of its Icons series. Located in Littleton, Massachusetts, this rental transforms the concept of a Mattel Polly Pocket toy into a full-scale experience, complete with mock-up versions of clothing and oversized furniture.

Design and Features

The rental resembles a 90s-themed Polly Pocket compact, celebrating the doll’s 35th birthday with a vintage-style two-story design. The structure includes an open-air platform and a towering 42-foot (12.8 meters) back wall, designed to mimic the look of an open compact. Guests can enter via a series of steps into a living room decorated with toy-like furniture in colors such as teal, magenta, and lavender purple, all arranged around a yellow rug.

Themed Experience

Inside, the rental features a variety of nostalgic elements, including a teal door leading to Polly’s closet with an array of scarves and dresses, and a floor-length mirror flanked by a long runner rug. The compact also includes a staircase that leads to the second floor, which houses a kitchen with monochrome dishes, a small table, and a large refrigerator with operable doors, stocked with popular snacks like Ring Pops and Push Pops.

Guests can also enjoy a vanity stocked with craft supplies, a faux staircase, and a sleeping area in a purple tent outside, equipped with magenta sleeping bags. At night, the compact lights up in a lavender hue, creating a whimsical atmosphere.

Availability and Pricing

The Polly Pocket rental is available for a limited time from September 12 to 14, priced at $89 (£70) per guest. This addition to Airbnb’s Icons series follows other notable experiences, including stays in film-inspired locations and unique historical sites.
