Updates on engineering and architecture jobs available around the world
As you’re probably aware, Revit is the industry’s most employable software. Candidates with Revit projects on their CVs typically:
- have up to 5x as many options when it comes to jobs
- command higher salaries
- get to work on higher profile projects (Revit being the preferred software of the majority of AJ100s).
And efficiencies created by the software also typically improve the sustainability profile + carbon footprint of projects.
However, it can be hard to get a foot in the door – most studios who use Revit are looking to hire candidates who already have substantial experience.
However, we are working with an award winning small studio that is currently making the transition from AutoCAD + MicroStation intro Revit. If you have trained in Revit but never had a chance to work live, or even if you haven’t trained at all, this is a fantastic opportunity to get trained + get live project exposure on your CV!
The practice’s main sectors are residential (one off to multi unit), education, commercial, cultural + masterplanning/urban design. Current projects include a 1500 home masterplan, 450 bed student accommodations, office buildings. 80 unit new apartments, some domestic high end resi in Kensington, Chelsea + Westminster. They often collaborate with large firms so project scale is no limit.
The ideal candidate is Part III with 2-3 years of experience or a very experienced Part II, who has some housing experience and is familiar with the bregs, and has had some exposure across RIBA stages 0-5.
As a small studio, they can offer a lot of ownership and opportunities to be hands on, take projects from start to finish, have a lot of autonomy + really build up any experience gaps.
If you fit this profile + would like to take advantage of this unique opportunity, we are waiting to hear from you! CVs + folios today 😊
