As the Revit/BIM Specialist for this global, award-winning studio you will be responsible for actively supporting and assisting across all things BIM. The primary responsibility is to look after digital processes associated with the design and construction stages of all their projects. They use Revit as the primary BIM software and the management of its use is fundamental to the role.

The role requires supporting, mentoring, and leading the application and use of Revit for all projects in the studio, allowing the project leaders and teams to maximise the benefits of use. You will also stay up-to-date with the advancements and trends in the market to ensure best practice is achieved.

You will be reporting directly into the Directors of the UK studio and there will be the opportunity for professional growth in the role. They are open to this person still being hands on with projects, or being solely the Revit Specialist for the studio. Key Responsibilities

  • Mentoring and supporting project teams on BIM Revit โ€˜Best Practiceโ€™ workflows
  • Model setup
  • Model maintenance i.e. monitor Revit file size, review warnings, purge, and overall model health issues
  • Performing regular model audits to check standards and compliance with protocols
  • BIM content creation e.g. Revit families/components, sheets, graphics, schedules, etc.
  • Maintaining high levels of competency of software through continued use and training
  • Responsible for staff Revit and BIM training including identifying training needs and delivering training if required
  • Engaging with the wider studio on BIM related topics
  • Assisting the IT department with Revit deployments
  • BIM Standards and Workflows – authoring and maintaining company BIM standards and internal BIM workflows
  • Assisting on staff recruitment
  • Assisting new joiners with BIM Revit inductions and validating capabilities during probation period

Skills and Experience

  • Extensive experience using Autodesk Revit on all project stages
  • Proficient in modelling Revit families
  • Experience using Enscape 3D plugin with Autodesk Revit
  • Knowledge of Dynamo Visual Programming would be advantageous
  • Experience delivering COBie and data-rich IFC models
  • Sound knowledge of the UK BIM Framework / BIM According to ISO19650
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise effectively
  • Desirable – BIM accreditation
