The role

The Architecture Programme at De Montfort University is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Lecturer/Senior Lecturer with an aspiration and passion in integrating architectural design with climate literacy, ethics and humanities. We are looking for someone who wishes to teach the next generation of architects to challenge their future industry and help make the changes in construction needed to lead in tackling the climate emergency and social change.

In this role we are looking for a First-Year leader for the BA(Hons) Architecture programme that will work closely with the Programme Leader and the leads of our four architectural threads: Architectural Space & Context (ASC), Architectural Humanities & Ecologies (AHE), Architectural Technology & Environments (ATE) and Architectural Practice & Ethics (APE), to develop and implement a new, integrated curriculum, that responds to the need for climate literate architects. We want someone who has a genuine desire to support students to successfully transition into Higher Education, and evolve a curriculum that will scaffold their learning during their first year of studies. All leadership roles are four-year rotational responsibilities.

The role is on a full time (37 hours per week), permanent basis. We are happy to consider applications for fractional contracts. If you are looking for a fractional contract please state within your application form the number of days you are looking for.
