About the role

University College London (UCL) wishes to appoint a Lecturer (Teaching) in Energy Development. The post holder will be based at The Bartlett School of Sustainable Construction at the Bartlett Faculty of the Built Environment, a world-leading faculty ranked #1 in the world for Built Environment studies and #1 in the UK for its research environment. The post holder will be required to support dissertations and support research for teaching on the topic of Energy and Development for the Bartlett School of Sustainable Construction, consistent with the vision and mission of The School.

This is a part-time role (0.2FTE) available until 31 August 2024 in the first instance.

About You (Key requirements)

The successful applicant will be required to provide appropriate support for the dissertation module. Duties will include facilitating knowledge transfer and promotion of new ideas in specialist areas for the built environment and energy; setting and marking of student dissertation assignments; administration (record keeping, student feedback, etc.).

The appointee is required to have a PhD or be in their final year of PhD with a topic of energy and development. They will have experience of developing interdisciplinary outputs/research that can be fed into teaching and have experience of both research and practice within international settings.
