Architect Job: Senior Lecturer in Planning

UCC wishes to appoint an experienced academic to the role of Senior Lecturer in Planning.

This senior post will be attached to the UCC Centre for Planning Education & Research, a professionally accredited planning school based around the delivery a flagship Masters in Planning and Sustainable Development (M.Plan) and a broad mission of research and engagement in the field.

The post is open to experienced planning academics and practitioners who hold either a doctorate and/or a masters degree with an extensive portfolio of professional achievement in planning. Applicants should hold a professional qualification in planning with eligibility for Corporate Membership of the Irish Planning Institute (or Chartered Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute or international equivalent).

International experience and a track record for innovation in the planning field and / or planning education would be an advantage along with scholarly / practitioner specialism(s) in topics such as national and regional spatial planning, urban planning and development, land use and transportation, sustainable settlements, environmental planning, comparative planning systems, spatial equity or similar contemporary planning subject.

Appointment may be made on the Senior Lecturer Salary Scale: €76,934 – €109,009 (Scale B) / €74,297 – €103,558 (Scale A)

Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy.
