About the role:
The Cambridge School of Art (CSA), based in the Ruskin Building on the Cambridge campus, has grown over the last five years. We are now seeking to appoint a well-rounded and highly motivated (0.5 FTE) Senior Lecturer and Course Leader for our MA Interior Design Innovation course. You will have excellent course leadership skills and understanding of the fields of interior design/architecture in a global context, design/social innovation, spatial design and innovative thinking and making processes in both 2D and 3D in a variety of media alongside the organisational and communication skills to implement module administration, assessment, feedback and quality assurance requirements.
The post holder is expected to have excellent organisational and communication skills to implement module administration, assessment, feedback and quality assurance requirements. There will be a focus on interdisciplinary and inter-faculty learning and teaching and the post holder will be responsible for planning and developing innovative curriculum and pedagogy and deliver modules through unified active learning and teaching approaches, ensuring that our students graduate with the skills and knowledge tailored towards achieving specialisms applicable to the wide-ranging and ever-changing industry of interior design and spatial innovation.
This is a part-time fractional appointment. With successful HE teaching experience and a PhD or Professional Doctorate or near completion, you will have a professional practice commensurate with the stage of your career. You will also contribute to external income generation, live projects, student placements and external activities.
