The Role

Within this role you will be pivotal to the success of the Quantity Surveying and Professional Construction provision the College delivers to 150 students from across the East Midlands.  The team you’ll be joining is energetic and diverse, with colleagues ranging from recent graduates to those with over 35 years’ experience within the construction industry to those who have been teaching with us for 6 years.

You’ll be working with learners ranging from 16 to 18 years old and adult learners on a variety of courses including Higher Technical Qualifications (Level 4 & 5), T-Levels (Level 3) and Apprenticeships (Level 3 and Level 4).  Through the delivery of engaging teaching, learning and assessment, you will ensure they gain an in depth understanding of subjects such as;

  • Tender & Procurement
  • Measuring & Estimating
  • Construction Economics & Sustainability
  • Quantity Surveying Practice
  • Other Professional Construction topics as required

 About you

You’ll hold a degree or higher in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Construction, and may have experience of working within the industry, but it is not essential that you do.  You may be a recent graduate who’s keen to use their knowledge and skills gained as part of your degree to inspire the next generation of Quantity Surveyors!

Not a qualified teacher?  No problem: you can start your teaching career with us! Pass on your skills to our students and get trained in-house.
