We are currently on the hunt for an outstanding architect to join an established family run design and build company. With over 200+ projects across the London region in a year, this is a unique opportunity to work on a wide range of exciting and varied developments. The client is specifically looking for a UK registered architect with a specific expertise and background in private domestic developments ranging from loft, basement, and extensions projects.

To be considered for this role you must be RIBA/ARB registered, with a proven track record of excellence in the field of high-quality domestic architecture from client brief through to completion on site. You should be proficient in AutoCAD and the skills to showcase your ability to turn ordinary spaces into extraordinary ones. This is a chance to develop your skills further and take your career to the next level, working with a dynamic and enthusiastic team of designers and builders with aims of building your own team within the business.

As the lead in-house architect, you will be involved in every stage of the design process, from initial concept sketches to construction drawings, and everything in between. You will also play a key role in all developments and act as the “go to” person for any key decisions.

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of around £40-50,000 per annum. A view to opening a small studio in London. There will be the addition of an assistant once you’re successfully bedded in, so growth is definitely on the cards!

Here’s the important stuff:-

– Must be ARB/RIBA Qualified with minimum 3+ PQE

– AutoCAD expert

– Experience working on private domestic projects

– Loft / Basement / Extensions project experience

– able to lead multiple projects simultaneously 

– Excellent leadership skills

– Energetic and proactive

– Be able to build rapport with clients and contractors

– Understanding of UK planning and building regulations

– Strong technical design skills

– Fully remote working (although monthly meetings in the HQ will be required)
