Whether glass and sky, asphalt and sand, steel and trees. The merging of architecture and landscape has always been an inevitable factor in building. In particular, buildings made of glass, steel, and concrete have had an immaterial connection to their natural surroundings since the 19th century. The superimposition of structures, reflections, filters, and transparencies becomes an important design element and fascinates with its ambiguous representation of reality. The double exhibition in the SUPERRAUM shows two current positions by a photographer and an architect whose central motif is the connection between architecture and landscape. Beyond the pure depiction of a perspective, fictitious spaces, volumetric studies, and landscape references are thematized. Each work unfolds its own visual language and engages the viewer in spatial exploration.

The SUPERRAUM is a space for culture and creativity from DORTMUND KREATIV in the Brückviertel. A space for exhibitions, projects, advice, and networking in Dortmund’s cultural and creative industries.

This was created in collaboration with Leonie Meiings.
