Architecture Competition: Call for Entries: Open Competition for the Weissenhof in Stuttgart (Germany)

In 2027, the Weissenhof Estate in Stuttgart will be 100 years old. The famous estate with 21 houses was built for the Deutscher Werkbund exhibition in 1927 under the artistic guidance of Mies van der Rohe. The two houses of Le Corbusier are now part of the World Heritage Site.
After a century of architectural and urban history, now’s the opportunity to rethink the built testimonies of modernism and to advance the urban design at Weissenhof with a contemporary model.
To this end, the state capital Stuttgart and the state of Baden-Württemberg, in cooperation with the IBA’27, are going to announce an open international ideas competition for the urban design of Weissenhof and its surroundings in 2022.
