Complete Living Theater Mount with white stacked volumes in china,
Shanghai-based Wutopia Lab has completed a demonstration space featuring exhibitions,
meetings, and multi-functional spaces for developer Xuzhou Vanke.
The 1,169-square-meter building, named the Vanke Cloud Valley project exhibition area,
On Software Park Road in Quanshan District, Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province of China.
Although the site is a typical city, the actual buildable land restrictions are very high.
After meeting various planning and fire prevention requirements,
the narrow trapezoidal construction site within the building setback line is about 500 square meters,
The height of the structure cannot exceed three storeys.
The total construction area of the prototype, including two sets of sample houses, is just over 1,000 square meters.
In fact, this small exhibition area center does not have additional floor space as a stage for people to perform.
It’s never going to be an issue to put a dent on a functional interior design.
When functionality and interface are not separated, interface design becomes irrelevant.
In the end, one fails to offer the client various solutions until the physical strength and patience of both parties have been exhausted.
Vanke’s sales center trading and software have been re-analyzed and categorized differently.
The core and common space are merged and defined as a large “noisy” space that flows across three floors.
audiovisual hall, protection area, office, model room, tea room, coffee, meeting, negotiation, signature,
And the VIP reception, the inner garden, and other rooms are independent as small square
“quiet” auxiliary components connected to the large group space according to the flow line in turn.
You can recognize these stacked boxes on the interface and see part of the “noise” flowing into the gaps of the boxes.
Design features
Additional components have large windows or balconies in reference to the theatre.
A set of side stages that do not take up floor space appear on the façade.
The box on the facade is no longer just a box, but a scene showing “a scene from everyday life.
The different stages show an identical daily life for each individual.
When put together, the exhibition area becomes a memorial to the daily lives of ordinary people.
A line of mountains appearing sharply at a distance from the normally unrecognizable frontage has observed.
And this natural and green concrete mountain unexpectedly became the inspiration for our design,
And an abstract artificial white mountain assembled as an image of the Vanke Cloud Valley viewing area by flowing boxes.
