Architecture Competition: Design Within Reach’s 18th Annual Champagne Chair Contest

Have an extra champagne bottle on hand? In the spirit of the holidays, we’re excited to share the news that entries are open for Design Within Reach’s 18th annual Champagne Chair Contest! The ask? Create a miniature version of an iconic chair or original of your own – using only the foil, label, cage and cork from no more than two champagne bottles.

Please see the official media alert with additional details for this year’s contest, including the esteemed panel of judges including Asad Syrkett, Jacqueline Shaw, Tei Carpenter, Alyse Archer-Coité, and Alex Lin.

All details on how to enter can be found on DWR’s site. This year’s charitable partner is Office Hours, the BIPOC and artist-led initiative, in which DWR will be donating $50 per valid entry. The deadline for entries is January 4, 2022.
