The using of wooden and metal studs in framing walls,

Studs are light frames created to support wall structures,

and are an important element in traditional building construction because they provide a bridging point for the interior and exterior of the wall.

Metal or wood can be used to create the studs for the wall frames, both have their pros and cons,

the choice of which depends on the situation and the requirements of the customer.

  2. Wood is a combustible material, and cannot be used in fireproof structures.

  5. It is prone to moisture buildup and can lead to mold, which is unhealthy for residents, as it can degrade the structure over time

They are lighter than wood, but cost 30% more than wood, and come in a variety of dimensions and sizes.

Metal studs are attached from the top and bottom with special tracks to hold them together.

Advantages of studs metal rivets

  5. Metal studs cause thermal bridges, which results in increased energy loss, and to avoid thermal bridges, they require additional insulation which may increase cost.
