DISLOCAL_ Experimental University Program 2021-2022

Surprisingly, Venezuelan architects from all latitudes have teamed up with their global allies through a platform for education that aims to “create and not replicate reality with an eye on the peripheral globe.” Students of all skill levels and from all corners of the globe are welcome to apply. They will get the chance to train on local projects while exploring the edges of a novel and demanding environment where new architectural spaces are opening up.
Furthermore, the virtual community format, which offers academic credits adaptable to various university systems, will serve as the jumpstart for the 2021–2022 cycle. It offers a trimester, a summer school, an internship experience, a research project, or a work of scientific accreditation for postgraduate studies.

Moreover, the students will next interact with delicate initiatives in productive communities and regions in a laboratory experiment in Central America. Finally, all will come to a head with the implementation of a project created in a Venezuelan hamlet near Caracas.

The Global Research Program on Inequality, numerous universities, and organizations from Latin America and around the world, as well as eminent experts in architecture, urban planning, anthropology, sociology, engineering, and sustainability, will direct the network’s operations while navigating challenging situations entwined in the urban fabric and vouch for Dislocal’s application of knowledge, support the program.
