Do Ho Suh Returns to London After 20 Years:-

Korean artist Do Ho Suh brings his ethereal fabric installations to Tate Modern for The Genesis Exhibition: Do Ho Suh: Walk the House—his first London solo show in over two decades. Running from May 1 to October 19, 2025, the exhibition spans sculpture, video, and large-scale works, interrogating themes of home, memory, and displacement.

Sponsored by Genesis, the show debuts site-specific pieces alongside iconic works, reinforcing Suh’s vision of architecture as a vessel for emotional and cultural narratives.

Walk the House’: Architecture as Memory:-

The exhibition’s title references Korean hanok houses, designed to be dismantled and rebuilt—mirroring Suh’s exploration of transience. Key highlights include:

  • Nest/s (2024): A labyrinth of translucent corridors reimagining domestic space.
  • Perfect Home (2024): Imprints of doorknobs and switches from Suh’s past residences (London, Seoul, Berlin, more).
  • Rubbing/Loving Series: Graphite-and-paper traces of lived spaces (Gwangju Theater, Seoul Home).

Suh’s work transcends fabric: digital reconstructions like Robin Hood Gardens (2018) and Dong In Apartments (2022) use photogrammetry to archive buildings as evolving human records.
