Dubai Airports has announced the signing of a new 10-year maintenance contract aimed at operating and maintaining passenger boarding bridges (PBB) and ground equipment at Dubai International Airport (DXB). The contract covers maintenance services across all airport concourses, including Concourse D and Concourse A, which was designed to accommodate large aircraft such as the A380 and B777.

Contract Details and Included Services

Under this agreement, round-the-clock maintenance services (24/7) will be provided to ensure the continuous operation of 152 passenger boarding bridges, as well as pre-conditioned air systems and ground power units for aircraft. The contract also aims to enhance the efficiency of airport assets and promote sustainability by extending equipment lifespan and improving performance.

Partnership History

The partnership for the operation and maintenance of airport equipment at Dubai International Airport dates back to 2004, covering a range of solutions to facilitate passenger movement within the airport. Additionally, custom-built passenger boarding bridges for A380 aircraft were implemented and remain in operation today. In September 2024, a comprehensive service contract was signed to cover the operation and maintenance of 5,000 units, including elevators, escalators, and other airport equipment.
