Eero Saarinen Tulip Armless Chair Designed and refined based on his training a sculptor, Saarinen created the tulip chairs and pedestal collection with the aspiration to eliminate the “slum of legs” found under chairs and tables with four legs. In collaboration with Knoll, he built a series of miniature models and full-size prototypes, iterating the design to create furniture that would look beautiful in a room.
