Overview
The EUmies Awards Young Talent 2025 is a prestigious competition that aims to recognize and support the best diploma projects from recently graduated architects, urban planners, and landscape architects. This initiative, part of the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture / Mies van der Rohe Awards, invites architecture, landscape architecture, and urban planning schools from Creative Europe countries to nominate outstanding student projects.
The award focuses on qualifying master’s degrees that include a design proposal, regardless of whether the projects are built or not. The goal is to highlight the essential skills students have acquired, including art, history, aesthetics, technology, and science.

Eligibility:

Submission Details
- Schools must submit nominations directly through the competition platform.
- Nominated projects must include a design proposal that reflects the student’s training.

- All nominated projects will be archived and published online and in a catalogue.

How to Join

Jury
The jury panel will be announced soon and will consist of renowned architects, urban planners, and educators. They will evaluate projects based on design excellence, innovation, and impact on the built environment.
Young Talent Open
In parallel, Young Talent Open invites schools from Council of Europe member countries not in the Creative Europe Programme, such as:
- Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and Turkey. Additionally, non-European invited countries:
- Australia, Brunei, Cambodia, East Timor, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. The jury will select six finalist projects, with one ultimate winner. Young Talent Open is not funded by the European Union and is managed by Fundació Mies van der Rohe.
