The seventh edition of the European Award AHI is now open, celebrating excellence in architectural heritage intervention across Europe. This prestigious biennial event has become a reference in the field, recognizing outstanding projects that shape the future of heritage conservation and adaptation.

Since its inception in 2013, the award has highlighted exemplary works in four key categories:

  • Built Heritage
  • Exterior Spaces
  • Urban Planning
  • Disclosure

For the 2025 edition, the award will recognize projects completed between January 1, 2018, and December 31, 2024, within the European geographical area. The submission deadline is March 14, 2025, at 24:00 (GMT+1).

Eligibility

The award is open to:

  • Professionals, associations, and institutions engaged in architectural heritage.
  • Projects must be completed between 2018 and 2024.
  • Works must be located within the European geographical area.

Special Mentions

  • Restoration Special Mention: Awarded to a project demonstrating exceptional technical and methodological quality in restoration.
  • New European Bauhaus Special Mention: Recognizes a project that embodies sustainability, aesthetics, and inclusion.

Winners will be announced in June 2025 at a public ceremony in the Ceremonial Hall of the Barcelona Industrial School, an emblematic Catalan modernist building owned by Barcelona Provincial Council.

Submission Details
