We are pleased to announce the opening of submissions for the 2024 Architectural Ceramic Assemblies Workshop (ACAW) in Boston Valley. In its ninth year, ACAW provides an unmatched forum for architects and other experts in the field to collaborate on creative construction solutions that make use of architectural terra cotta. This program offers a special chance to expand on the knowledge and use of terra cotta in large-scale assembly.

Workshop Vision and Goals

ACAW was established in 2016 with the goal of advancing architectural innovation through the use of architectural terra cotta. The program promotes investigation into a variety of topics, including surface and rainscreen system solutions, bioclimatic and biophilic design, and more. As they work on creating assembly mockups, participants will receive practical experience working with this adaptable material.

Culminating Event

The workshop will come to an end in Buffalo, New York, on August 12–15, 2024. Teams will have a dynamic setting to put together their mockups and present their findings to an audience of architects, designers, and business executives at this four-day conference, which is being sponsored by Boston Valley Terra Cotta. This event is expected to be a showcase for state-of-the-art studies and creative uses of architectural terracotta.

Conclusion

For architects, ACAW 2024 offers a unique chance to explore the limits of what can be accomplished using architectural terracotta. Teams that participate will receive priceless knowledge and expertise in creating and putting together creative terra cotta solutions.

Professionals who are eager to discover new avenues in terracotta architectural design are urged to register for this life-changing workshop.
