Biennale Gherdëina 2026

May 29 @ 8:00 am - September 13 @ 5:00 pm

The Biennale Gherdëina, an art and architecture event nestled in the stunning UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites in Italy, is set to celebrate its 10th edition from 29 May to 13 September 2026. Taking place in Ortisei Urtijëi St. Ulrich and the surrounding Val Gardena area, this biennial is a unique convergence of art, architecture, and the natural environment.

For this milestone edition, the event has announced the appointment of Samuel Leuenberger as its curator. As the founder and director of SALTS, a Swiss non-profit exhibition space, Leuenberger is renowned for fostering interdisciplinary exchange and engaging with emerging artists.

The Biennale Gherdëina has evolved with each edition, focusing on new commissions, an environmentally driven exhibition programme, and robust public engagement. It attracts the global art community while honoring the rich cultural, historical, and linguistic heritage of the Alpine region.
