Architecture Competition: ICONIC AWARDS 2024

Innovative Architecture commenced. These awards, presented by the German Design Council, acknowledge outstanding achievements in architecture, innovative conversion solutions, revitalizations, future-oriented interior and product design, exceptional communication concepts, and particularly innovative and resource-efficient materials. The awards ceremony is scheduled for 7 October 2024 at EXPO Real in Munich, offering winners the chance to network on an international scale.

Invitation for Submissions

Architects, engineers, specialist planners, agencies, design offices, companies in the construction and real estate sectors, as well as manufacturers in the design and production industry, are invited to submit their projects by 17 May. A distinguished international jury will evaluate submissions and decide on awards categories such as “Best of Best,” “Winner,” and “Selection.” Special awards including “Architects of the Year,” “Interior Designers of the Year,” and “Architects’ Client of the Year” will also be presented. Notable winners from the previous year include Sou Fujimoto Architects, Holzrausch, and Vestre.

The jury responsible for selecting winners comprises esteemed professionals from the architecture and design fields:

  • Prof. Daniel Blum, Associate Partner, IttenBrechbühl, Basel
  • May-Britt Frank-Grosse, Editor-in-Chief, baunetz interior|design, Berlin
  • Virginia Lung, Co-Founder One Plus Partnership, Hong Kong
  • Carsten Schmidt, Associate Partner, Topothek 1, Berlin
  • Wei Wu, Executive Partner gmp, Shanghai

Platform for Recognition

Receiving an award from the ICONIC AWARDS provides winners with an ideal platform to showcase their achievements and positions them as pioneering designers in the global landscape. For over a decade, these awards have recognized the exemplary work of international architecture firms, promising young designers, and leading manufacturers. Notable winners in recent years include MVRDV, MAD Architects, Bjarke Ingels Group, and Adjaye Associates, among others.
