KWC(Ripple) 2022

Product: (Kitchenware) Chakla and belan

Material: Wood(white oak), Ceramic

Dimensions: w250 x d290 × h100mm

Ripple is a kitchenware brand targeting the Indian market, and has collaborated with happ studios on various design projects from logo to product. KWC is a design that includes a Chakla (wood board) and Bern (rolling pin) set with a Roti box (Ceramic bowl) added. I aimed to address the inconvenience in the existing product, which had the drawback of the rolling pin and board being separated from storage. In order to reduce the gap between wood and ceramics, the ceramics were produced considering the thermal expansion and contraction of the soil, and then the rolling pin was designed and manufactured to fit the size well.
