Transport for London (TfL) has adopted an innovative fix for the “ghost marks” staining the walls of the Stirling Prize-winning Elizabeth Line. After a 2024 trial, TfL found that silhouette-shaped posters effectively conceal and prevent grime left by passengers leaning against platform benches. The playful design merges functionality with aesthetics, maintaining the line’s sleek reputation.
