The LONG MUSEUM WEST BUND is located on the Bank of Huangpu River in Xuhui District, Shanghai. It used to be a coal wharf. The transformation design adopts the “umbrella arch” cantilever structure. The wall and ceiling are made of fair faced concrete. The umbrella arch structure echoes with the original coal hopper. The new design is very modern and visual tension, and has become a landmark in Shanghai.
