Overview

The Institute of Classical Architecture & Art (ICAA) invites designers, artisans, and creatives to leave a timeless legacy by designing a new trophy for the prestigious Arthur Ross Awards. Established in 1982 to honor excellence in the classical tradition, this award celebrates achievements in architecture, art, patronage, and more.

The selected trophy design will be manufactured in silicon bronze by NANZ & Company and presented annually starting with the 2026 Awards. This competition offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the classical legacy and see your design honored for decades to come.

Submission Deadline: Monday, June 16, 2025
Final Model Due: Monday, September 15, 2025

Acceptable Media

  • Digital Renderings
  • Hand Drawings
  • Physical Models made from:
    • 3D Resin (hand-finished)
    • Clay (firm at room temp)
    • Plaster (sealed with clear coat)
    • Wood (sanded, filled, clear coat)
    • Wax (hard carving wax only)

A second physical model may be required if minor adjustments are needed by the manufacturer.

  1. Prepare your design following the submission guidelines.
  2. Include all required views (front, back, side).
  3. Choose your media (digital, hand-drawn, or physical model).
  4. Complete and submit a form for each design.
  5. If submitting a physical model, mail or deliver it to ICAA’s office.

  • Faithfulness to classical design principles
  • Originality and memorability
  • Appropriateness of proportions and materials
