A comprehensive project has been launched to upgrade Maksymilianowo Station and its surrounding railway sections as a core part of the Maksymilianowo Station Upgrade. This project focuses on the 201 line that connects Maksymilianowo and Kościerzyna in the country’s northwest.

Project Details

The project involves reconstructing 38 kilometres of track, building four railway bridges, one road bridge, and a road viaduct. The Maksymilianowo Station Upgrade also includes the modernisation of three station platforms. The construction of a railway flyover at the intersection of freight lines 201 and 131 is designed to streamline train movements and reduce congestion.

Purpose and Design

The renovation aims to increase station capacity for both passenger and freight transport. It facilitates freight traffic to the port of Gdynia. The design carefully considers intersections between passenger and freight lines, ensuring operational efficiency and safety as part of the comprehensive Maksymilianowo Station Upgrade plan. It reflects a planning approach that balances functionality and engineering standards.

Current Phase

The current focus is on rebuilding core infrastructure while maintaining temporary tracks to allow continued train operations during construction.
