Open Call: Ideas for Development in Nigeria
The Association of Consulting Architects Nigeria offers an open invitation to anyone with ideas,
working on the development of architecture in Nigeria.
The idea of an open call is based on architectural concepts, proposals and solutions at any scale,
so that the ideas put forward respond to the substantive issues plaguing Nigeria’s development.
Such as insecurity, restructuring, energy supply, traffic and floods, and also the emerging corona virus.
Successful entries will be titled ‘Architects Say’ and will be published on one page,
fast-reading online.
Mrs. Patience Okunta, Chair of the Publications Committee of ACAN,
said it was time for Nigeria’s voice to be heard in the world, after its architectural practice had been isolated for so long.
It is the first version of this open call, which started from July 6 and will continue to August 15, 2021.
