A+C Designs are launching a Design and Build Competition hospitable all! we’ve partnered up with We Yone Child Foundation, a Sierra Leone |African country|African nation”> Sierra Leone based charity, which aims to enhance the lives of vulnerable children and their families through quality education and life empowering opportunities. WYCF is developing variety of small scale infrastructure projects, with the assistance of public funding to reinforce the lives of underprivileged communities in Freetown, Sierra Leone. These include schools, hospital facilities and accommodation.

 

during this competition, we are inviting you to partake in Designing a hub for volunteers and teachers that are a neighborhood of the WYCF team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a young Architect to style with real-life constraints and considerations of construction types, Budget and client requirements, to not mention the precious experience of developing the Project to be inbuilt Sierra Leone .

We encourage designs that are sustainable, practical and simply conceivable and which don’t require prior technical skills in construction. The successful entry are going to be checked out within the view of buildability, cost-effective and an overall enjoyable space.

The winning entry/ team will get the prospect to develop their designs with the humanities and Creatives team to A level of detail for construction in 2022.

The new development are going to be a crucial a part of “> a part of the volunteer programme which is an important part of the charity’s effort. The new WYCF Hub are going to be ready to provide low-cost accommodation, an office space for the daily functions of the charity leaders and rental space for income.

All year around, volunteers from round the world visit the charity to require part within the programme. Their roles can range from teaching a category to working one-on-one with students with particular needs, to developing proposals, designing a community project or assisting with overall organisation administration – just to call a couple of examples.

WYCF has hosted several students from different nationalities trying to find a world placement to fulfil their university requirements.

*ELIGIBILITY*
– This competition is open to students, professionals or anyone interested in participating.
– No professional qualification is required.
– The competition winners will work in collaboration with the Architects of Arts + Creatives Designs LTD to develop and complete the chosen design.
– Teams must be no more than 4 people and individuals (1) may enter too.
– Participants must be proficient in English and all entries must be submitted in English.
