The project includes six restaurants and cafés, arranged within architectural spaces that embody Najdi design. Architectural Character

Beyond its recreational role, the complex provides 5,700 square meters of offices and workspaces, making it a model of mixed-use development that combines social and professional activities within one setting. The design carefully balances openness toward the surrounding valley with interior privacy, achieved through layered façades and volumetric compositions that give the project a unified architectural presence.

✦ ArchUp Editorial Insight

The article highlights the Al-Zallal Complex in Diriyah as a clear manifestation of Najdi architecture adapted for contemporary use. The images reveal layered massing, traditional material palettes, and carefully arranged spaces that balance hospitality with work functions. Yet, the discussion leans more toward visual description, offering limited engagement with design strategies or sustainability frameworks that could strengthen its contextual relevance. Still, the project provides a notable example of how cultural identity can be translated into multi-use environments, merging everyday functions with architectural expression in a way that enriches spatial experience.
