​Ranieri, an Italian based business which specializes in transforming volcanic rock into remarkable designs for artwork, architecture, and interior design. Participated in the EDIT Napoli 2023 event by presenting the exhibit “A Matter Of Perspectives”. Its new creative directors, Francesco Meda and David Lopez Quincoces, crafted an intriguing, location-specific display for the renowned international design fair, which was part of the CULT program. Open to the public from October 6th to 8th, the installation was held in Santa Maria La Nova, an ex-Roman Catholic Renaissance-style church and monastery located in the central area of Naples.

Located at Vesuvius, a company helmed by Giovanni Ranieri produces a variety of products for both indoors and outdoors. Also, works with luxury companies to create custom-made projects. This successful venture was initiated by Ranieri who utilized his family’s century of knowledge in treating volcanic rocks and the proficient craftsmanship of Campania to combine human efforts and industrial production for large-scale projects while maintaining precision.

Meda and Lopez Quincoces aimed to produce a sense of communal celebration, and wanted to have beautiful and practical characteristics. Inviting the public to directly engage with the natural material, the two conceived an installation that could be replicated. And adapted in other places and situations, underlining its longevity and versatility. To achieve this, they employed a simple, neutral and universal language. Harking back to Ranieri’s treatment of lava stone.
