Re-draw.04: Pompidou / Competition!

Pompidou بومبيدو

One building, any kind of drawing, a single illustration.

SYNOPSIS /

The Centre Pompidou, a high-tech structure constructed in the 1970s by Richard Rogers and Renzo Piano, is the building you will have to consume to create a whole new graphic for the RE-DRAW Competition’s fourth edition.

How would you depict this famous Parisian structure?

QUICK SUMMARY /

The “Re-Draw” competition seeks to create a drawing that “represents” a famous piece of architecture. One image must be created by each participant, and they are given complete creative control over scale, method, and level of abstraction.

We support innovation, critical thinking, and creativity. The illustration can emphasize a building’s useful features while also demonstrating a thorough mastery of one or more architectural elements. Additionally, it may emphasize aesthetics by experimenting with and perfecting a drawing technique that produces hyper-realistic results, or it may be an optical distortion, a caricature interpretation, or a far-off abstraction of the built environment.

Moreover, the sketch can support a traditional perception of architecture or explore a fresh, intellectually or physically, perspective. In fact, one may depict the Centre Pompidou as a whole, in pieces, or as a mosaic of randomly placed moments. The entry is entirely pliable and interpretable by the participant.

REQUIREMENTS /

Non-architecture competitions are open to all people, regardless of age or culture, whether they are working in teams or on their own. Furthermore, No of how many people make up a team, there is a per-team registration cost. Each team member’s personal information may be uploaded during the final drawing submission process.
