1. Introduction
We are the Unidentified Life Exploration Association, ULEA, that explores life around the globe. This document records the discovery and observation of life, commonly referred to as ‘cryptids’.
본 기관은 지구 각지의 미확인 생물을 탐구하는 미확인 생명체 탐구 협회 ULEA이다.
해당 문서는 본 기관에서 주요하게 다루는 생명체, 통칭 ‘크립티드’를 발견하고 관찰한 내용을 기록한 문서이다.

Cryptids are creatures that have eyewitness accounts but are judged to be non-existent because there is no clear evidence. Witnesses have long been reported around the world, and academic investigations have been conducted on them, but they have been skeptical about their existence.
크립티드는 목격담은 있지만 명확한 증거가 없어서 실존하지 않는 것으로 판단되는 생물이다. 여러 목격담이
오래전부터 세계 각지에서 이어졌고 학계에서 조사가 이루어졌지만 이들의 실존 여부에 대해서는 회의적이었다.
Meanwhile, conclusive evidence of three of the cryptids, Nessie, Yeti, and Mothman, has been found in a house environment in Korea. Therefore, we launched a preliminary investigation of those present in the house environment.
본 기관은 네시, 예티, 모스맨 세 크립티드에 대한 결정적인 증거들을 대한민국 가정집에서 발견했다.
이에 본 기관은 가정집에 존재하는 세 크립티드에 대한 사전 조사에 착수하였다.
The ULEA’s internal investigation team tried to recreate the image
based on the sightings of three cryptids found at home.
ULEA의 내부 조사 팀은 가정에서 발견된 세 크립티드의 목격담을 토대로 그 모습을 재현하고자 했다.
2. Body
Three cryptids were inhabiting the house as ‘ hidden objects ‘.
The following contents of this document record the appearance and ecology of the three cryptids. Access to the following information is strictly prohibited without the permission of ULEA.
세 크립티드는 가정집 내에서 ‘숨겨진 물건’으로서 서식하고 있었다.
본 문서의 아래 내용은 세 가지 크립티드의 모습과 생태를 기록하였다.
본 기관의 허가 없이 아래 내용을 열람하는 것을 엄격히 금지한다.
2-1. Nessie, The Toilet bowl cleaner

Nessie was found in a toilet water tank in the bathroom.
Nessie was living in a water tank with its neck and back out of the water.
네시는 화장실의 변기 물탱크 속에서 발견되었다.
네시는 물탱크 속에서 목과 등의 일부를 물 밖에 내놓은 채로 부유하며 살아가고 있었다.
There are many holes in Nessie’s body.
Part of Nessie’s blood was observed to flow into the water through this hole.
네시의 몸에는 수많은 구멍이 존재한다.
이 구멍을 통해 네시의 혈액의 일부가 물속으로 흘러 들어가는 것이 관찰되었다.
Nessie’s blood had the property of purifying bacteria in the water.
The amount of Nessie’s blood discharged varies depending on the change in the water level in the water tank, keeping the inside of the toilet clean.
네시의 혈액은 물속의 이물질을 분해하고 세균을 정화하는 성질이 있다.
네시의 혈액의 방출량은 물탱크의 수위 변화에 따라 달라지면서 변기 내부를 청결하게 유지하고 있었다.
Nessie’s blood is replenished from the outside. When the blood became scarce,
Nessie’s body was exposed to the water and its biological activity gradually began to stop.
네시는 혈액을 외부에서 보충한다.
혈액이 부족해졌을 때 네시의 몸은 물 밖으로 드러났고 생체 활동이 점차 정지되기 시작하였다.
We observed Nessie’s body hidden in the water when it came out. It has been confirmed that
the feet, which were supposed to be a fin, are actually in a shape that can stand the ground.
본 기관은 네시가 물 밖으로 나왔을 때 물속에 감춰졌던 네시의 신체를 관찰하였다.
지느러미로 추측되던 다리는 사실 지면을 딛을 수 있는 형태라는 것이 확인되었다.
The internal research team concluded that Nessie had a reciprocal symbiotic relationship with humans in the bathroom. Humans who use the bathroom rarely see Nessie,
but it seems to be indirectly positively affected.
내부 연구 팀은 관찰 결과 네시는 화장실 속에서 인간과 상호적 공생관계를 맺고 있다는 결론을 내렸다.
화장실을 사용하는 인간은 네시를 거의 보지 못하겠지만 간접적으로 긍정적 영향을 받을 것으로 보인다.
2-2. Yeti, The sterilization & deodorizer for the refrigerator

Yeti was found in his new habitat, the refrigerator.
예티는 자신의 새로운 터전인 냉장고에서 발견되었다.
Interestingly, Yeti was observed to regard the objects inside the refrigerator as his ‘ family ‘.
Yeti was removing germs and odors that could threaten the ‘ family ‘.
예티는 흥미롭게도 냉동실 내부의 물건들을 자신의 ‘가족’으로 여기는 것으로 관찰되었다.
예티는 ‘가족’을 위협할 수 있는 세균과 악취를 제거하고 있었다.
The internal investigation team found that sterilizing and deodorizing
substances in Yeti’s body were the driving force behind this ‘ protective ‘ activity.
내부 조사 팀은 예티의 몸속의 살균, 탈취 물질이 그의 ‘수호’ 활동을 지속할 수 있는 원동력이라는 것을 알아냈다.
Yeti was functioning as a guardian in his habitats.
He contacts humans indirectly in the refrigerator, but it is unlikely to antagonize humans as intruders.
예티는 그의 보금자리에서 수호자로서 기능하고 있었다.
예티는 인간과 냉장고 속에서 간접적으로 접촉하지만, 인간을 침입자로 적대하지는 않을 것으로 보인다.
2-3. Mothman, The flashlight in the darkness

Mothman, unlike the two cryptids, was found in a frequently inhabited bedroom.
모스맨은 두 크립티드와 다르게 사람이 자주 생활하는 침실에서 발견되었다.
It was difficult to find Mothman’s existence because he usually hides in the dark, but the internal investigation team was able to capture it using the properties of Mothman’s luminescence in complete darkness, such as blackout.
모스맨은 평소 어두운 곳에 숨어 있기 때문에 그 존재를 찾기가 어려웠지만 내부 조사 팀은
모스맨이 정전 같은 완전한 어둠 속에서 발광한다는 특징을 이용해 그 모습을 포착할 수 있었다.
Similar to previous research, Mothman had the form of a fusion of moths and humans.
The wings only had traces, but the antennae were observed to be very similar to the moth’s.

사전 조사 결과와 유사하게, 모스맨은 나방과 인간의 융합체 형태를 가지고 있었다.
날개는 흔적만 남아 있었지만, 더듬이는 나방의 것과 매우 흡사한 것으로 관찰되었다.
Mothman had legs that could stand on the ground,
but it seemed rare to use legs because they could be attached to the wall with a dorsal organ.
모스맨은 땅에 설 수 있는 다리를 가지고 있었다.
하지만 등 쪽의 기관으로 벽에 붙을 수 있기 때문에 다리를 사용하는 일은 드문 것으로 보였다.
Mothman’s lighting organ functions at various brightnesses.
It used to appear to help humans prepare for danger in the dark.
모스맨의 발광 기관은 다양한 밝기로 기능한다.
이는 인간이 어둠 속 위험에 대비할 수 있도록 도움을 주는 모습으로 나타나곤 했다.
The internal research team concluded that Mothman was playing a similar role to what the myth describes as a “disaster prophet” while interacting directly with humans.
내부 연구 팀은 모스맨이 인간과 직접적으로 상호작용하면서 ‘재앙의 예언자’라는,
속설에서 묘사된 것과 유사한 역할을 수행하고 있다는 결론을 내렸다.
Immediately after the discovery of the subject, we succeeded in engraving the tracking label,
which allowed it to observe the continuous condition and activity of the cryptids.
본 기관은 연구 대상을 발견한 직후 추적 라벨을 새기는 것에 성공했고
이를 통해 크립티드의 지속적인 상태와 활동을 관찰할 수 있게 되었다.

3. Conclusion
Currently, cryptids live in direct and indirect symbiotic relationships with humans, and they appear to help humans in invisible places. However, due to the nature of living in a hidden environment,
it seems difficult to prepare if it suddenly turns hostile to humans.
Therefore, it is judged necessary for us to constantly keep an eye on and be wary of them.
현재 기록상 세 크립티드들은 인간과 직간접적인 공생관계를 이루고 살아가고 있으며
보이지 않는 곳에서 인간에게 도움을 주는 모습을 보인다. 그러나 숨겨진 환경에 서식한다는 특성상,
인간에게 적대적으로 돌변한다면 대비하기 어려울 것으로 보인다.
그러므로 본 기관 측에서 이들을 끊임없이 주시하고 경계하는 것이 필요하다고 판단된다.
