One of the standout panel discussions was titled “Design Solutions for a Sustainable Built Environment”. Experts debated how traditional construction practices can be redefined to foster urban environments that are not only more sustainable but also better aligned with the needs of humanity. This session highlighted innovative approaches that aim to integrate sustainability into the very core of urban design.

Yesterday evening, the Sustainability in Design Forum, organized by the Architecture and Design Arts Commission, concluded with insightful sessions aimed at rethinking the future of architecture towards a more sustainable future.

In another unique session, William McDonough, the co-founder of the Cradle to Cradle principles, shared insights into how sustainable design can drive growth in business and development. The presentation inspired a discussion on shaping a positive carbon future, pushing boundaries in the field of architectural sustainability.

As the forum drew to a close, Sumaya Al-Sulaiman, the head of the Architecture and Design Arts Commission, announced exciting partnership plans with the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), which will further promote sustainable practices in the region. The event also featured architectural projects by leading international architects, showcasing diverse visions for sustainability in the built environment.
