the Tentsile insulated cabin is a highly configurable + cozy den
Tree tent and camping hammock company Tentsile recently launched the Insulated Cabin, a highly configurable and ‘quilted’ multi-story shelter ideal for any season, especially the cooler ones. Depending on the setup, it can suspend mid-air or stand right over camping grounds. For a fully comfortable experience, the cabin comes with a 200g/sqm hollow fiber polyester insulation finished in an orange breathable fabric, two central hatches, a single side door, several windows with additional insect mech, multiple internal pockets, and internal loft loops.

choose your stack: ground or classic
Users can purchase the cabin as part of a Tentsile Stack or as an upgrade pack for their existing three-person tree tent. A Stack is a multi-story setup that pairs a Tree Tent with a Camping Hammock to increase space and storage. ‘Stacks allow you to camp across multiple levels and give your family or friends a comfortable, spacious base camp in which to have fun and relax. Thanks to the 3-point anchor and anti-roll system, our Tree Tents and Camping Hammocks are already some of the comfiest tents you can find and offer a special camping experience,’ writes the company.
Furthermore, campers can choose from two types of basic Insulated Stacks. The first one, Ground mode, is a half-suspended setup that accommodates 3 sleepers by joining a Stingray Tree Tent with a Ground Conversion Kit. The final configuration also includes a ground porch. On the other hand, the Classic Stack is a family-size option that fits six sleepers by pairing a Stingray Tree Tent with a Trillium Fabric Hammock, creating ‘a fully suspended experience.’

a thoroughly designed setup with easy access
Once the insulated quilt structure is set up, campers can benefit from three large zippable windows with insect-repellant mesh. Complementing these openings are an additional three smaller windows on each corner. Tentsile also included a protective vacuum pack bag for the Insulated Cabin to keep moisture at bay and optimize storage.
Regarding access to and exit from the cabin, the company states: ‘There are three points of access into the Insulated Cabin when used off the ground – a central hatch within the floor, one in the ceiling and a door on one of the corners. Each corner also features zippable access points where you can easily pass cables, shoes, or other smaller items into and out of the cabin. There are also internal pockets for storing your accessories, and loft loops for hanging lights from,’ continues.’
Classic Stack: a fully suspended setup
Lastly, Tentsile released a three-person Inner Quilt that perfectly fits the shape of its Stingray, Vista, and Trillium hammocks as well as its three-person tree tents. The pet-proof cover is made from the same fabric as the Insulated Cabin’s. The company released a fully-detailed tutorial on how to set up the Insulated cabin from scratch using the half-suspended method. You can watch it in full below.
