Our cities face critical challenges like climate change, rapid growth, and resource strain. Alt Urban is a pioneering initiative aimed at reshaping urban living to foster resilience, inclusivity, and sustainability.

The Competition

The Alt Urban Housing Challenge, hosted by TARA, a social enterprise of the Development Alternatives Group, in partnership with the Dhun Life Project, invites participants to reimagine housing. The focus is on designing a sustainable township on the outskirts of Jaipur, Rajasthan, blending innovative design with social and environmental well-being.

Who Can Apply

The competition is open to architects, planners, designers, engineers, artists, and enthusiasts worldwide, with no eligibility restrictions. Participants can register individually or in teams.
