The Theatre Architecture Competition (TAC) is an esteemed international event, organized by the OISTAT Architecture Commission (AC), and has taken place every four years since 1978. This competition encourages the development of new concepts in theatre architecture and promotes collaboration across disciplines, bringing together architects and theatre professionals such as directors, designers, technicians, actors, dancers, and musicians.

The upcoming 2025 TAC will be held in the historic Courtyard of Bait Obaid Al Shamsi, built in 1457. Situated in the Heart of Sharjah, this location brings rich cultural heritage into focus, inspiring participants to merge contemporary ideas with traditional architecture.
