Sindalah, the luxury island destination and the first physical showcase of NEOM, has been unveiled by the NEOM Board of Directors. First announced by His Royal Highness Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince and Chairman of the NEOM Board of Directors in December 2022, Sindalah’s opening marks a major milestone in NEOM’s progress.

Transforming Sindalah from Idea to Reality

Bringing Sindalah to life has required a dedicated two-year effort from a peak workforce of 30,000, including four local contracting partners and up to 60 subcontractors. This achievement marks a significant step in advancing the Kingdom’s tourism goals under Saudi Vision 2030, showcasing NEOM’s commitment to developing inspiring new destinations. To celebrate the opening, Sindalah has welcomed its first guests to experience the island’s allure.

Sindalah’s Ideal Location and Accessibility

Situated within the Red Sea’s shimmering azure waters, five kilometers off NEOM’s northwest coastline, Sindalah is a luxurious resort destination covering 840,000 square meters. Conveniently positioned 17 hours by sea from key Mediterranean destinations, Sindalah serves as NEOM’s gateway to the Red Sea, welcoming yacht owners from Europe, Saudi Arabia, and the GCC.

Tech-Driven Design and Architectural Excellence

Sindalah combines natural beauty with cutting-edge design, crafted by renowned yachting architecture firm Luca Dini. The island offers world-class restaurants, hotels, and venues designed to host up to 2,400 daily visitors by 2028. This project is expected to create approximately 3,500 jobs, boosting the Kingdom’s hospitality and tourism sectors and supporting economic diversification aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.

NEOM CEO Comments on Sindalah’s Opening

NEOM CEO Nadhmi Al-Nasr stated, “NEOM is dedicated to supporting the Kingdom’s luxury tourism vision with the launch of Sindalah. Sindalah offers a first glimpse into NEOM’s extensive portfolio of future destinations.”
