Typography Day 2023 Poster Design Competition is now open for entries!

Typography Day 2023 Poster Design Competition: Typography Day 2023 Poster Design Competition organized by the Industrial Design Centre (IDC) of the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay is currently accepting entries and inviting all students, faculty, and professionals from all around the world to participate.

About Competition

The Industrial Design Centre (IDC) of the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay is currently accepting entries for the Typography Day 2023 Poster Design Competition.

The Competition theme for this year is: ‘The Sacred and Typography’.

Each participant is allowed a maximum of three entries.

Submitted entry can contain:

Language, Script, and Typeface of your choice. You can make use of one letter, one word, many words, or even a paragraph composed of words that express ‘Sacred’.

Calligraphic or digitally created letterforms or existing fonts, or a combination of these can be used for the poster.

Typography Day 2023 is scheduled for 7th–9th December 2023.

Submission requirements

➜ You need to submit the solution along with a brief write-up of around 150 words, written in English.

➜ Size of the final poster needs to be 420mm x 600mm only in portrait format, saved as JPEG or PDF300 dpi and color mode CMYK.

Eligibility

This competition is open to students, faculty, and professionals. It is open to all nonresident Indians, as well as foreign citizens.

Prize

Winning entries will be published as a book and displayed in an exhibition during the Typography Day 2023 event – scheduled for 7th–9th December 2023 in the sacred city of Varanasi in India. The winners are entitled to free participation during the ‘Typography Seminar and Workshop’. Each winning participant receives 1 copy of the book and the ‘Certificate of Winning the Poster Competition.
