This scholarship honors the passing of Walter A. Hunt, Jr., its namesake and benefactor. Hunt’s generosity of spirit and commitment to education survive within the scholarship he established.

Award

Single award within the amount of $10,000 per annum for 2 years. After recipients complete their first year, they’re going to submit a transcript, a recommendation from a professor, and a mirrored image of the year to the committee for the second year disbursement.

Recipients even have the chance to be mentored by a committee of Walter A. Hunt’s colleagues to bolster their education and career in architecture if they so choose.

Purpose

To promote and encourage the study of architecture by ny City public highschool students through a two-year scholarship to supplement tuition and related costs during their freshman and sophomore years at a NAAB-accredited school of architecture within the U.S.
