World Illustration Awards 2023 is now open for entries!

World Illustration Awards 2023: The Association of Illustrators (AOI) recently opened the call for entries for the World Illustration Awards 2023 and like every year celebrates great illustrations from across the globe, with an emphasis on supporting and connecting illustrators with each other and the industry.

About Competition

The Association of Illustrators (AOI) recently opened the call for entries for the World Illustration Awards 2023, the most prestigious global illustration award.

Furthermore, this competition celebrates great illustrations from across the globe, with an emphasis on supporting and connecting illustrators with each other and the industry.

Work must be one of the following categories per entry which are:

  • Advertising
  • Animation
  • Book Covers
  • Children’s Publishing
  • Commercial Publishing
  • Alternative Publishing
  • Design, Product & Packaging
  • Editorial
  • Exploration
  • Science & Technology
  • Publishing
  • Site Specific

Illustrators, commissioners, agents, and tutors working across all sectors and in any medium are welcome to submit work created since January 2022 into the ten Awards categories.

Submission requirements

  • Illustrations, or projects featuring illustration, in any medium, format, or usage can be entered into WIA2023. This includes still images, animated gifs, and animations.
  • Additionally, work can be self-initiated or commissioned. The only requirement is the illustration must have been created, commissioned, or published since January 2022.

Eligibility

Moreover, this competition is open worldwide to illustrators over 18.

Prize

Winners of WIA2023 can look forward to some exciting prizes, from trophies and AOI memberships to cash for the Overall Winners.

Entry fees

The entry fee is £29 (GBP) per Single Entry and £49 (GBP) per Multiple Entry (inclusive of VAT).
