The Seoul Metropolitan Government has revealed the five winning designs for the International Planning
and Architectural Design Competition for Yeouido Park 2nd Sejong Performing Arts Center in Seoul, South Korea.

On March 18, 2023, the Seoul Metropolitan Government announced an international competition to transform Yeouido Park,
known as the downtown area, into a downtown cultural park.
The competition brief aims to change the current status of Yoido into a global financial center.
During the process, Seoul intends to work with Yongsan-gu to transform Yeouido Park,
which separates the eastern and western parts of Yeouido.
The city planned to “change the landscape of Seoul by building waterfront landmarks with innovative designs along the Han River.”
The five winning designs were evaluated on the basis of “the feasibility of building a landmark representing Seoul based on the use and space required.”

The second Sejong Center will include a 2,000-seat concert hall and a 400-seat concert hall.
