In announcing the Crown Prince, His Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman,

he unveiled the latest project aimed at boosting the tourism industry in Saudi Arabia.

It is the first luxury island destination in Neom, Sindalah, which will host luxury yachts and luxury apartments.

Design features

Sindalah extends over an area of about 840,000 square meters, and is one of the groups of islands that will be developed in the Giga project.

It is expected to create 3,500 jobs for the tourism, hospitality and entertainment services sector.

The island will also serve as a major gateway to the Red Sea, offering customized cruise experiences.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, it is expected to start receiving its guests in early 2024.

The Crown Prince stated:

“This is another important moment for NEOM, and a big step for the Kingdom to achieve its tourism ambitions in light of Vision 2030.

Sindalah will also be the first Luxury Island and destination for the yacht club in Neom, in the Red Sea.

This provides a picturesque gateway to the Red Sea,

which will become the most exciting and attractive tourist site in the region.

Where travelers can experience the true beauty of Neom and Saudi Arabia,

above and below the water, making Sindalah the future of luxury travel.

Activities on the island

Chris Newman, Executive Director of Hotel Development at NEOM,

outlined the range of events and activities that the island will witness once it opens.

“Sindalah expects to host advanced cultural events, major sporting events and charming social celebrations throughout the year,” he said.

“There will be a year-round calendar of imaginative experiences, curated across the different seasons,” he added.

This will include a social season from December to February,

which will provide guests with access to exclusive concerts, arts and cultural events.

Which are hosted in inspiring creative venues.

The “joy season” will last from March to May, then from October to November,

coinciding with the peak yachting season.

 

 

Guests will enjoy exclusive access to concerts, fashion and culinary festivals as part of the season of glamour.

The active season, from June to September, will provide guests with a range of beach leisure activities suitable for families.

Sindalah is one of the many islands in NEOM, as additional islands are under development.

It will be announced in due course as more information becomes available.

The launch of the Sindalah project is also a major step in achieving the Kingdom’s tourism aspirations,

in line with the goals set out in Vision 2030.

 

Design components

Sindalah Port will have 86 berths, in addition to 413 ultra-luxury hotel rooms,

in addition to 333 upscale hotel apartments.

Other attractions at Sindalah include a luxury beach club, yacht club and 38 unique culinary offerings,

which will provide an unparalleled experience in the Red Sea.

Sindalah is also expected to become a popular destination for golf,

by offering its fans the opportunity to experience a world-class course of 6,474 yards (5,920 meters).

Par 70, and with 18 tees, Sindalah Island Golf Course will offer two unique nine-hole experiences.

 

NEOM

NEOM, the $500 billion smart city, is one of the most important projects in support of Saudi Arabia’s national tourism strategy.

The kingdom is steadily diversifying its economy, which has been heavily dependent on oil for decades.
